When Raiding we use a DKP system known as "QDKP" this system is only used it 25-mans. 10-mans are free rolls. The DKP system we use is a Zero Sum set Price system.

Earning DKP

There are 4 ways to earn DKP as listed:

Raid Award
The simplest award method, give the specified amount of DKP to the whole raid, checking for each player's eligibility. On progression nights when we are doing new bosses that bosses may not be down a min of 20 DKP will be given to players who show up and raid for the night.

Timer
The timer is, as the name suggest, a timer that counts the time a player stays in the raid. Every hour, that player will be awarded with the specified DKP. The hours are updated every X minutes.

Iron Man
The Iron Man is a system that awards players which stay for the whole raid. If they stayed in the raid for more that 90% of the time (not offline), they'll get the Raid Bonus.

For members that do NOT make the raid invite do to not being the Class specifically needed for that raid may be put on standby. All members on standby will receive DKP that is equal to the same amount as the raid.

Item Drop
When a piece of gear drops the the player that wins the item spends the DKP and the DKP is given and split over the other members in the raid (Zero Sum).

Cap
DKP Caps out @ 500. After this you will not be able to earn any more DKP until you spend some.

Decay
Each week after raid week DKP will decay 25% across the entire guild, so spend it or lose it.

Bid/Buy
ALL items within a raid are given a set DKP Price. The person withe highest amount of DKP wins the item and the price of the item is deducted from your total DKP. But be careful your total DKP can go negative should you not have the amount of DKP to cover the listed price.

DKP Prices are as follows:
Armor -- 50 DKP
Weapons -- 75 DKP
Tier Tokens -- 100 DKP
Legendarys -- Slot based ex. Weapon = 75 dkp
Mounts -- Bid

DKP Amounts
No DKP is given on boss death DKP is given when Loot (Epics) Drops through Zero Sum.

Timer - 2 dkp given per hour

Naxx, Sarth, Maly, Ulduar, ToC, ToGC
All these are free rolls but loot rules still apply. Main Spec > Off Spec > Alt.

If you really want an item you may use your DKP to get it. You will still be charged full DKP for the item, per the chart above.

Loot Officers
There are 4 Loot Officers in the guild. Healer, Ranged, Tank, and Melee. These loot officers have the power to override DKP and give an item to someone other player in the raid if it's a better item for them and helps the guild as a whole over giving it to the person who would have normally won it. The person receiving the item will be charged DKP for the it.
